Our Team
Nathan Yam
As a student at International Christian School and founder of ToysCycle, my mission is to bring fun, inspiration, and learning to underprivileged children.
With experience in charity work, holding leadership roles in multiple organizations, and as the founder of two online businesses, I believe I have what it takes to bring success to ToysCycle, and most importantly to fulfill my passion to make a positive impact in the world; to bridge the gap between us and the underprivileged, and also to contribute to a better enviornment by reducing waste (I still rememeber the day my mother threw away my piles of toys...I wish we had known an organization like ToysCycle!)
I am also an athlete – I have developed a spirit of hard work and preserverance through playing sports like basketball, football/soccer, and volleyball, all on a competetive level.
Toys brought a profound impact to my childhood, yet some kids will never experience that same magic. So I created ToysCycle, to go towards my dream of a world where every single child can experience the joy of play.
Founder / President
I received a countless amount of toys for my 2nd birthday party. Look at the joy on both my sister and I's faces! Sadly, young children born into poor families may never have this joy, even when they deserve it just as much. We must bridge this gap because every child, regardless of their circumstance, should be able to enjoy the toys that brought life to our childhoods.

REMARKS FROM EDUCATORS
Andrew Yuen
I’m Andrew and I am a student at International Christian School. Growing up, I wasn’t as exposed to toys as you might have imagined. I’d still bother my parents for toys every time my birthday or Christmas came around, but it didn’t play as big of a role in my life. However, the small amount of toys I had made a big difference. Whether it was a lego set or an action figure, I would spend hours and hours, poring over bricks and arms with joy. Because of my experiences with toys, I believe that every child can and should have a good experience with toys, and I joined ToysCycle to make that real.

I am currently a student at International Christian School. I have often been reminded of the immeasurable blessings I’ve received -- a supportive family, an abundance of resources, an open-ended education etc. With the awareness of how much God has gifted me, my family helped me recognise the importance of giving back to the community. As someone who shares great admiration for the younger generation of enthusiastic souls brimming with potential, I realise how fair accessibility towards tools for learning—educational toys— are of utmost importance. As the Communications Director at ToysCycle, I am able to fulfil my vision of giving back to the society and helping little ones in need. By God’s mercy and guidance, it is my hope for this student-led organisation to bring a positive impact to, not simply Hong Kong, but the world.

Hi, I’m Lucas! I enjoy playing music and basketball. Currently enrolled in High School at International Christian School, I recognize my privilege and seek to serve others, as Jesus calls us to do so. At ToysCycle, my role is mainly behind the scenes, managing logistics, social media, and our website. My experience in school clubs (for example, as a department head in the News Team) teaches me how to operate our group. I hope our mission inspires fellow young adults to attend to the needy and participate in charity work.

I am currently a Y10 student in Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School. I’m proud to be a debater and a scholar; my privilege to learn is not lost on me and I have realized many marginalized communities, for example the poor, are suffering from a lack of resources. Likewise, debating has opened my eyes to underprivileged groups in society, and has since left me with a longing to alleviate other’s suffering in whatever way I can. Through these experiences, I hope I can do my part in society to help the underprivileged through hands-on teaching and sharing of my experiences, and to do what little I can to spread warmth and love in a cold and unfeeling society that otherwise rejects the vulnerable populations. It is an honor to make an impact through volunteering, where I can directly make an impact to underprivileged demographics and spread what kindness I can.
